There are no winners in a sinking boat, Bobi Wine mourns Isma Olaxes

Bobi Wine has said the killing of Isma Olaxes, aka Jaja Ichuli, is an indication that regardless of one's political affiliation, there are no winners in a sinking boat.

National Unity Platform (NUP) president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, has said the killing of Isma Olaxes, aka Jaja Ichuli, is an indication that regardless of one’s political affiliation, there are no winners in a sinking boat.

“Whenever we complain about armed regime operatives dressed in civilian clothes causing mayhem, abducting or even killing our people, the same regime apologists say we’re politicizing things,” Bobi Wine wrote on his social media pages.

Olaxes has been a strong critique of Bobi Wine and NUP and a staunch support of Preside Yoweri Museveni and the regime at large. He has verbally attacked and abuse Bobi Wine as a person, the People Power movement and NUP as institution.

In so doing, Olaxes has also attacked and verbally abused some government officials involved in corruption and bad deals. His latest rant was when he celebrated the killing of labour minister Charles Engola who was shot dead by his bodyguard. He said Engola deserved it.

“I will say it again, everyone is a potential vision of the lawlessness of the Museveni regime,” Bobi Wine said adding that let the dead teach the living.

Police said Olaxes was Saturday night shot dead by gunman armed with an SMG in Kyanja Central Zone at approximately 9:20 PM.

Police adda the incident took place while Olaxes was traveling in his motor vehicle, registered under number UBK 213 D, with his driver, Mr. Waswa Mathias. He was in the co-driver seat.

“Our dedicated task teams are currently on the ground, working diligently to gather all available evidence and conduct thorough investigations into this heinous crime,” ASP Luke Owoyesigire, the deputy PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
