Uganda Bureau of Statistics releases detailed census profiles district, sub county, parish levels

The 11th National Population and Housing Census, conducted in May 2024, aimed to provide a comprehensive snapshot of Uganda’s population and housing characteristics.

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has announced the release of comprehensive District, County/Division, and Sub county/Town Council profiles stemming from the 2024 National Population and Housing Census (NPHC). This announcement, made in a public statement of 10th June 2025, follows the release of the final census report on December 31st, 2024.

The highly anticipated profiles, organized by sub-region, provide detailed baseline data and crucial information down to the parish level. UBOS has made the profiles readily accessible to the public through their official website: http://ubos.org.

“These profiles contain invaluable data and statistics that are critical for effective planning,” UBOS stated in their release. “They will significantly contribute to the localization of Sustainable Development Goals and the successful implementation of the Parish Development Model.”
