Uganda Examinations Board late registration for PLE, UCE and UACE ccandidates ends tonight
In a statement issued on Friday, UNEB urged all heads of schools and directors to ensure that every learner in candidate classes is fully registered before the deadline to avoid being left out of the national examinations.
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has reminded schools and candidates that the late registration exercise for this year’s Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) closes at midnight today, July 31, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, UNEB urged all heads of schools and directors to ensure that every learner in candidate classes is fully registered before the deadline to avoid being left out of the national examinations.
The Board said candidates will only be considered duly registered after full payment of the required registration invoice. Late registration fees include a 100 percent surcharge for PLE candidates, bringing the total to Shs68,000, while UCE and UACE candidates will pay Shs246,000 and Shs279,000 respectively after a 50 percent surcharge.
UNEB warned that there will be no further registration of candidates after today’s deadline.
Heads of examination centres and school inspectors have also been reminded that today is the final day for submission of registration files to UNEB.
The Board said it will begin quality assurance procedures after the registration exercise, followed by the release of dates for displaying candidate registers in schools. Parents and candidates will then be required to verify registration details and confirm the accuracy of submitted biodata.
