30-year-old man dies in a lodge after taking sex enhancement pills
According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, the two had spent three days together before his death on Wednesday 19th July.
Police is carrying out an investigation following the death of a 30-year-old man in Bukedi south region, Busia district, who passed away while in a lodge after taking sex enhancement pills.
Available facts gathered by police indicate that Ouma Justas, a boda boda rider from Buwaya village, Bumunji parish in Masiya sub-county, Busia district died in a lodge after taking sex enhancement pills while with his woman friend Awuma Caroline aged 25.
According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, the two had spent three days together before his death on Wednesday 19th July.
“Awuma woke up on the 19th July at around 6am and found her partner dead in bed. The matter was brought to the attention of the police at Masinya and we transported the body to Masafu general hospital for further postmortem,” Enanga said.
Enanga noted that upon carrying out the postmortem, it revealed a cardiac arrest due to blood pressure.
He warned men that such enhancement pills if not well consumed or misused, can potentially affect one’s blood pressure especially during such erotic exercises.
“This is the second such incident we are registering were people continue to use aphrodisiacs to enhance their sex abilities but if you misuse it, its life threatening,”
An aphrodisiac is defined as any food or drug that arouses the sexual instinct, induces venereal desire and increases pleasure and performance.
According to research, adverse effects of aphrodisiac include nausea, dizziness, stroke, increased risk of cancer, enlargement of the prostate, loss of consciousness and even severe headaches.
However, People do not consider the safety of these drugs and consume the same without knowing its effects.
