UBOS sets fresh dates for business, education and household survey reports

The Bureau further reminded the public that it continues to publish regular statistical indicators, including the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Construction Input Price Index (CIPI), and the Producer Price Index for Manufacturing and Utilities (PPIM & U) on the last working day of every month.

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) recently revised its release calendar for several completed surveys and census reports, with a number of major statistical publications now scheduled for release this month, May 2026.

In a public statement issued on Thursday, April 30, 2026, UBOS said the revised timetable updates an earlier schedule communicated on April 2, 2026.

According to the Bureau, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics released the Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025 on April 30, while the Uganda Business Inquiry 2019/2020 report will be published online on May 21 at 8:00 a.m.

UBOS also announced that the Uganda Harmonized Indicator Survey (UHIS) reports covering Wave I and Wave II for the period 2021–2024, as well as Wave III for 2025, will also be released on May 21, 2026.

The Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025 is expected to be published on May 28, 2026.

In the statement signed by UBOS Executive Director and Chief Statistician Chris N. Mukiza, the Bureau thanked data users, researchers, policymakers and the public for utilizing previously released reports in planning and public policy discussions.

Among the reports already released this year are the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) Report 2025, published on March 12, the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024 Volume 4 released on March 19, and the Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024 Volume 5 published on March 26.

Other publications include the National Population and Housing Census 2024 Community Module Volume 6 released on April 9, the Labour Market Survey Report 2025 published on April 16, and the National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2023/24 released on April 23.

UBOS noted that all disseminated statistical products are accessible through the official UBOS website.

The Bureau further reminded the public that it continues to publish regular statistical indicators, including the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Construction Input Price Index (CIPI), and the Producer Price Index for Manufacturing and Utilities (PPIM & U) on the last working day of every month.

It added that the Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) and quarterly estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are released every quarter as part of Uganda’s national statistical reporting framework.
