Speaker Oboth pledges to uphold Parliament’s dignity, supports Mukono hospital project

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jacob Marksons Oboth, has pledged to safeguard the dignity of Parliament, promote constructive dialogue, and advance initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Ugandans.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service at Lebanon Cathedral, Oboth said he remains committed to strengthening Parliament’s role through respectful debate and meaningful engagement.
The Speaker also expressed support for the establishment of a modern regional hospital in Mukono, describing it as a key development that would improve access to quality healthcare services for residents.
During the event, Oboth officially launched the GMIF, marking another milestone in his service and community engagement efforts.
