Principal Secretaries have met at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO) headquarters in Loresho, Nairobi, to review progress on government programmes and discuss measures to improve service delivery.
The monthly consultative meeting, chaired by Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, focused on the implementation of Presidential Directives, previous resolutions, and commitments from the Third National Executive Retreat.
The meeting also received updates on key areas including the payroll audit, government office accommodation, Kenya Airways’ performance and recovery strategy, and national security.
Koskei called for faster and disciplined implementation of government programmes, emphasizing accountability, prudent use of public resources, and stronger action against corruption, wastage, and inefficiency.
He directed Accounting Officers and government departments to ensure clear responsibility for assigned tasks, provide progress reports within set timelines, and deliver measurable results.
The Principal Secretaries agreed on measures aimed at boosting competitiveness, attracting investment, creating jobs, protecting vulnerable citizens, and maintaining national stability.
