FIFA defends Infantino over alleged UEFA pay-out claims
UEFA confirmed that a departure payment was made but said it was within the rules at the time, noting that regulations on such payments have since been tightened.

FIFA has rejected allegations that President Gianni Infantino had an affair with a former UEFA colleague and described the claims as “unsubstantiated” and “demonstrably false.”
Reports by The Telegraph alleged that a former UEFA employee received a payment of more than £150,000 when she left the organisation in 2011, including funding for an MBA programme. The report claimed the payment followed an alleged relationship with Infantino during his time as a UEFA general secretary.
