The Local Government Finance Commission (LGFC) has continued its Integrated Revenue Administration System(IRAS) refresher trainings in Masaka, targeting district leaders and revenue teams from several local governments.
LGFC said strengthening the capacity of users is key to ensuring effective automation, accountability and better management of local government finances. The training focuses on equipping teams with practical knowledge to maximize the benefits of the system.

The training brought together officials from Lwengo, Sembabule, Mbarara, Bukomansimbi, Mityana, Luwero and Kalangala districts to enhance their skills in using IRAS to improve revenue administration and increase Own Source Revenue collections.

The initiative is part of LGFC’s efforts to support fiscal decentralisation by helping local governments improve revenue performance and build sustainable financing systems for service delivery.
