Homosexuality is a deviation from the normal – Museveni

The President said Western countries should stop wasting the time of humanity by trying to impose their practices on other people.

President Yoweri Museveni lashed out to promoters of homosexuality saying the sex vice is a deviation from the normal and that there is a need to answer if homosexuality is natural or it is nurtured.

The President speaking to Members of Parliament at a special sitting Thursday afternoon said Western countries should stop wasting the time of humanity by trying to impose their practices on other people.

“Europeans and other groups marry cousins and near relatives. Here to marry within the clan is taboo “Omuziro”. Should we impose sanctions on them for marrying relatives,” the President questioned.

The President noted that sex in Uganda and maybe in other parts of Africa is confidential.

“Even heterosexuality, even the heterosexuals, they do it confidentially. How do we come to know that you are a homosexual unless you publicise it. We shall discuss all this,” he explained, noting that there is need for a medical opinion on that.
