Proceedings began with a solemn Holy Mass led by Archbishop Emeritus John Baptist Odama of Gulu Diocese, setting a hopeful tone for the day.

For many in attendance, the launch of KAPATU symbolized long-awaited progress in a region deeply affected by insecurity and underdevelopment.

The university aims to provide accessible higher education rooted in peace-building, technology, and skill-based learning, fields seen as vital for transforming Karamoja’s social and economic landscape.
