Minister Jonard Asiimwe attends AI and innovation Expo at Olive School Namugongo
The exhibition featured a wide range of learner-led projects developed with support from teachers and mentors, highlighting the use of artificial intelligence, science, engineering, and creative arts to address challenges in Ugandan communities

The Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Eng. Jonard Asiimwe Akiiki, has attended an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Innovation Expo at Olive School, Namugongo, where learners showcased their creativity and technological innovations.
The exhibition featured a wide range of learner-led projects developed with support from teachers and mentors, highlighting the use of artificial intelligence, science, engineering, and creative arts to address challenges in Ugandan communities.
Among the innovations displayed were robotics projects, plastic waste recycling technologies, hydraulic bridge systems, solar-powered automotive solutions, digital designs, paintings, and other creative works.
Eng. Asiimwe commended the initiative, noting the importance of promoting STEM education and nurturing young innovators with skills needed to contribute to Uganda’s science, technology, and innovation-driven development.
The expo provided a platform for learners to demonstrate how creativity and technology can be used to solve real-world problems while preparing the next generation of innovators.
