Police arrested three suspects over shop breaking and theft in Mbarara

Police in Mbarara District have arrested three suspects in connection with a case of shop breaking and theft reported in Mushunga Cell, Kabwesanga Ward, Rubindi-Ruhumba Town Council.

The suspects have been identified as Ahimbitsibwe Joseph, 28, Tumwiine John, approximately 35, and Muhwezi Robert.

According to police, the trio was arrested following investigations into the reported burglary incident, where property was allegedly stolen from a shop in the area.

Police said the suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue, with efforts underway to recover the stolen items and identify any other individuals who may have been involved.

Authorities have urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help curb cases of theft and related crimes in communities.
