Police to impound unlicensed drones operating as taxis
Police has warned that all individuals operating drones as PSV taxis without the required license and a checked band to operate as taxis to stop it immediately.
Traffic Police have ordered all individuals operating “drone vehicles” as Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) taxis, especially those driving along Entebbe and Jinja Road, to stop operating immediately.
“You have been given two days; by Wednesday 16th Nov 2022, we are starting our operations and all those who will be arrested under this operation will be taken to court. None of them will be issued an EPS ticket,” Traffic police spokesperson Faridah Nampiima said.
Nampiima urged all those who want to operate as taxis to comply with the requirements by going to the ministry of works and transport to register and license their vans so as to operate as PSV taxis.
