Ssemakadde vows to fight Judiciary’s moral “crisis” as new ULS President

Isaac Ssemakadde, the newly elected President of the Uganda Law Society (ULS), has promised to restore integrity and confront moral decay within Uganda’s judiciary.

In his victory speech, Ssemakadde emphasized the collective duty of the legal fraternity to uphold justice and unity.

“This victory belongs to all of us – those who believe in the power of justice, our collective voice, and the unity of our legal fraternity,” Ssemakadde said. “I am committed to serving with integrity, transparency, and unwavering dedication.”

Ssemakadde, renowned for his bold and unconventional approach to public interest litigation, aims to bring a fresh and reformative agenda to the Uganda Law Society.

His election marks a new chapter for the Uganda Law Society, inspiring hope for reform and integrity in the legal landscape.
