Uganda People’s Defence Forces begins recruitment exercise in Kigezi Region

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has started its recruitment exercise in the Kigezi region, with the first phase taking place at Kabale Main Stadium in Kabale Town
The recruitment team spokesperson, Maj Edward Birungi, said the exercise will begin with physical and medical screening to assess the fitness of candidates before verification of their academic and other documents.
The candidates were shortlisted after successfully completing an online application process.
The exercise is being led by Brig Gen James Kasule, deputised by Col Anatoli Nuwagira. The UPDF recruitment exercise aims to select eligible candidates for enlistment into the force.
