UNEB unsure when it will release PLE results
In 2022, 832, 702 pupils registered for primary seven (PLE) as compared to 767, 110 who did in 2020, the last time the country had learners sit for national exams.
Parliament has Tuesday afternoon heard that Uganda National Examination Board has not set the day on which it will release the much-awaited Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
Government Chief Whip, Denis Hamson Obua, revealed that UNEB will tomorrow, Wednesday 25th January 2023 meet with the Ministry of education to deliberate on the matter.
Obua also revealed that a non-committed Secretary General of UNEB told him that most likely the exams will come out ‘before the end of this week.’

No such exams were held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, 432, 851 pupils (52%) are females while 399. 851 are males.
