Gunmen abduct BBS Terefayina journalist

Recently, the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among reported that she is being trailed by assassins.

The management of Buganda Kingdom-leaning BBS Terefayina has this afternoon reported that their employee Kenneth Kavulu, the presenter of BBS Omugotteko program, has been abducted.

The television station said gunmen travelling in a vehicle with number plates UAQ 024G, a Mark II, abducted Kavulu while he was leaving Masengere, their office building in Bulange Mengo.

The television station has asked members of the public with information on the whereabouts of Kavulu to call 0785 583 139.

Kavulu’s abduction has been criticized by National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine.

Yesterday, Bobi Wine reported another abduction of another journalist and NUP activist, Motiv Kasagga. While Kasagga is a known NUP activist, you cannot say the same about Kavulu.

Recently, the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among reported that she is being trailed by assassins. Police said they have started investigating the matter.

Members of Parliament (MP) tasked Prime Minister Nabbanja to explain the rampant abductions of citizens in the country.

“The press reports are now averse with reports of abductions, the drones are back, people are being abducted and their places of detention are not known,” Winfred Niwagaba, MP Ndorwa East.
