Kizza Besigye says Museveni’s son Muhoozi behaving like Idi Amin
At the moment, as Commander of Land Forces, Muhoozi is commanding Operation Shujaa in DR Congo to wipe out ADF rebels.
Uganda’s opposition leader Col. (Rtd) Dr Kizza Besigye has equated Lt. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s cheeky desire to conquer Kenya using military means to that of former President Idi Amin Dada.
Muhoozi surprised the world Monday evening when he sent out a tweet saying it cannot take two weeks for him and his army to topple Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
It wouldn't take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi.

This tweet didn’t sit well with authorities in Kenya with many government leaders asking if Muhoozi was well upstairs. Kenyans on Twitter rebuked and ridiculed his success as a military officer.
And now, Besigye, a nemesis of Muhoozi father and President of Uganda Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has reminded his followers on Twitter of the time when the former president of Uganda, Field Marshal Idi Amin, harboured the same desires.
History repeats itself?

Amin’s rule was a military dictatorship. He didn’t shy away from attacking neighbouring states.
It is told that Amin disputed the current borderlines of Uganda saying the British colonial government annexed Uganda’s land to Kenya and Tanzania.
Amin believed it was his duty as a leader to liberate Uganda’s lost territories. While he didn’t attack Kenya, he attacked Tanzania to rescue the Kagera region.
After our army captures Nairobi, where should I live? Westlands? Riverside?

In October 1978 Uganda under the command of Amin invaded the Kagera area in northern Tanzania sparking off the Uganda–Tanzania War. Amin and Uganda got a beating in Tanzania and retreated.
In retaliation, the Tanzania president then, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, got riled and supported Ugandan exilees to wage a military operation that toppled Amin in 1979. President Museveni was among the exilees.
I'm glad that I have scared you Kenyans a bit! Two weeks is long. Nairobi in one week for sure! Aided by my brothers from Carnival!

And in an Amin-like bravado, Museveni’s son, also an army commander, who many people believe has been groomed to replace his father, exudes infatuation and a desire to meddle in the affairs of neighbouring countries.

His infatuation with matters of Rwanda is well documented. He has openly supported the Tigray rebels in Somalia.
His first taste of a military operation in a foreign land came when he unsuccessfully pursued Joseph Kony, the leader of LRA rebels in the Garamba Forest, DR Congo stretching to South Sudan and the Central Africa Republic.
