Parliament to discuss roads, electricity access and international agreements
The House will from July 21 to 23, 2026 receive a presentation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs on treaties, protocols and international agreements ratified or acceded to by Uganda between 2021 and 2025.
Parliament is set to receive key government statements next week, including updates on the country’s road network, electricity access projects, and international agreements.
According to a statement by Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, who is also the Leader of Government Business, the House will from July 21 to 23, 2026 receive a presentation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs on treaties, protocols and international agreements ratified or acceded to by Uganda between 2021 and 2025.
The Minister of Works and Transport will also present a comprehensive statement on the status of roads across the country, while the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development will update Parliament on the implementation of the Electricity Access Scale-up Project (EASP).
The business was submitted in line with Rule 29(1) of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament of Uganda, which requires the Leader of Government Business to outline upcoming parliamentary activities.
