Students warned against malpractices as UACE exams kick off

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Examinations (UACE) have commenced today with a total of 97,890 candidates registered to sit the examinations, from 2,255 Examination
Centres.

According to UNEB, 58% (57,177) males and 42% (40,713) females have registered to sit for the exams and commenced their examinations with Chemistry and Economics as their first papers.

Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the principal public relations officer at UNEB, 17,319 candidates were sponsored by the government under the Universal Post O’level Education and training program, whereas 80,571 were privately sponsored.

“We want to caution candidates against involvement in any acts of indiscipline. The fact that you are candidates does not absolve you from following school rules and regulations, ” she warned.
