UBOS announces revised calendar for national surveys and census reports
The revised schedule underscores UBOS’s commitment to timely and reliable statistical information, which is critical for guiding public policy, monitoring national development goals, and supporting research across sectors.
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has issued an updated schedule for the release of key national surveys and census reports, ensuring the public, researchers, and policymakers have timely access to critical data. The revised calendar replaces the previous schedule issued on 3rd March 2026.
According to a public statement from Dr. Chris Mukiza, the Executive Director and Chief Statistician, the following reports will be published on the UBOS website (https://www.ubos.org) on the respective dates:
- 9th April 2026: National Population and Housing Census 2024 Community Module – Volume 6 (Data will be available on the UBOS Census portal https://statistics.ubos.org)
- 16th April 2026: Labour Market Survey Report 2025
- 23rd April 2026: National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2025
- 30th April 2026: Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025
- 7th May 2026: Uganda Harmonized Indicator (UHIS) Survey Reports – Wave I & II (2021-2024) and Wave III 2025
- 14th May 2026: Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025
- 21st May 2026: Uganda Business Inquiry 2019/2020
Dr. Mukiza emphasized that these reports will be uploaded on the UBOS website on the scheduled dates, ensuring transparency and easy access for all stakeholders, including government planners, development partners, and the general public.
He also noted that several reports have already been disseminated and remain available online:
- Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) Report 2025
- Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024, Volume 4
- Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024, Volume 5
“These reports provide essential insights into Uganda’s socio-economic landscape and support evidence-based decision-making,” Dr. Mukiza said.
