When Bronston Canadian Academy Kampala took an adventurous and educational trip to Murchison Falls National Park
To cap off the day, we headed to the Sambiya River Lodge for a refreshing swim. On our second and final day, we took a simple hike to the top of the Murchison Falls, which offered stunning views of the falls and the surrounding landscape.
Our school trip to Murchison Falls National Park was an unforgettable adventure that left us with lifelong memories. We spent two incredible nights at the Elephant View Lodge, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
On our first day, we packed in a trio of exciting activities. We began with a thrilling game drive through the park, spotting massive elephants, towering giraffes, and numerous antelopes. Our guides shared fascinating facts about each species, teaching us about their habitats, behaviors, and unique characteristics.
Next, we embarked on a boat cruise along the River Albert, which took us to the bottom of the majestic Murchison Falls. We caught glimpses of crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and birds of every shape and size. We also learned about the rich history of the falls.
To cap off the day, we headed to the Sambiya River Lodge for a refreshing swim. On our second and final day, we took a simple hike to the top of the Murchison Falls, which offered stunning views of the falls and the surrounding landscape.
Our trip was a valuable learning experience, combining adventure and education in a unique and unforgettable way. As we departed the park, we were all filled with a sense of wonder and awe, and a newfound appreciation for Uganda’s natural beauty.
This trip was just one example of the many hands-on learning experiences that our students enjoy as part of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program.
