Harry Kane rules out immediate Premier League return as Bayern Munich happiness grows

Speaking to journalist Henry Winter, Kane admitted that when he left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich, he expected a possible return to English football in the future, but that desire has now reduced significantly.

England captain Harry Kane has revealed that he is no longer actively considering a return to the Premier League, saying he is fully settled and happy at Bayern Munich.

Speaking to journalist Henry Winter, Kane admitted that when he left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich, he expected a possible return to English football in the future, but that desire has now reduced significantly.

“When I first left, for sure, it was something that I thought I’d definitely be coming back. That itch isn’t there as much anymore. I’m extremely happy here in Munich,” Kane said.

The 33-year-old striker explained that his move to Germany has changed his perspective on football, allowing him to appreciate European football beyond England.

“It’s opened my eyes to a totally different world of football outside of England. It’s made me appreciate European football even more,” he added.

Kane, who continues to play a key role at Bayern Munich, said his focus remains on performing at the highest level with the German giants, where he feels comfortable with the team, manager and his family’s life in Munich.

“With the team we have here, with the manager, my family are really settled here. It’s just about being in the best place possible. I never say never, but, for now, I’m concentrating on Bayern Munich, and we’ll see what the future holds,” he said.

The statement reduces speculation that Kane could return to England to chase Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record. The former Tottenham forward remains one of the most prolific English strikers in history but appears content with his current challenge in Germany.

Former Italian striker Luca Toni also praised Kane during a special tribute, describing him as a complete goalscoring machine.

“Dear Harry, I love football too much to say: ‘Please stop breaking all our records.’ You are a machine. You are a goal machine. Keep going,” Toni said.

Toni highlighted Kane’s ability not only to score but also to create opportunities for his teammates, saying the England captain’s impact goes beyond finishing chances.

“I waited in the box for goals, but when the goals don’t come for you, you create the goals yourself,” he added.

The former Bayern Munich striker also praised Kane’s achievements, noting that only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have won the European Golden Shoe more times than him.

Kane’s continued success at Bayern Munich has strengthened his reputation as one of the world’s elite forwards, with his focus now firmly on adding more trophies and records in Germany rather than returning to England.
