Apostle Lance Businge launches book that addresses marriage challenges
Businge, a pastor, marriage counsellor, coach and author, focuses on helping couples develop practical habits that support loving and stable homes.

Apostle Lance Businge, a marriage counsellor and coach, has launched a book aimed at helping couples overcome marital challenges and build lasting, fulfilling relationships.
The book, titled Marriage Rescue Manual, was unveiled at Bamus Savorah Partio Hotel in Makerere, Kampala, at an event attended by Christian married couples and singles interested in building healthy marriages and families.
During the launch, Businge urged married couples to minimise conflict, cultivate a culture of prayer and approach marriage as a partnership in which both spouses work together.
“Stop running your relationship on structural autopilot. If your living room has turned into a cold boardroom or courtroom battlefield, this Marriage Rescue Manual is your practical relationship emergency room,” he said.
He said the book moves beyond abstract relationship theories to offer practical guidance on everyday marital challenges, including communication, financial management and emotional intimacy.
“This manual completely replaces abstract theories with the exact daily habits and verbal scripts you need to stop constant fighting, handle money as a unified team and restore deep emotional warmth under your roof,” Businge added.
Colonel Geoffrey Kambere from the Ministry of Internal Affairs was the chief guest. He delivered the keynote address, made presentations and participated in book readings.
Kambere commended Businge for his commitment to strengthening marriages and families, urging Christians to establish and maintain family prayer altars.
In the book, Businge emphasises that prayer should be complemented by practical relationship skills, arguing that spiritual commitment alone cannot resolve every marital challenge.
“You cannot pray away a bad attitude and you cannot fast away poor communication. God gives us the spiritual foundation but expects us to learn the practical skills to run a happy home,” he said.
The launch comes amid growing discussions about the pressures facing modern marriages, including financial demands, changing lifestyles, competing personal expectations and the influence of individualism.
Poor communication, financial stress, busy schedules and limited investment in emotional connection are among the challenges that can strain relationships.
Businge, a pastor, marriage counsellor, coach and author, focuses on helping couples develop practical habits that support loving and stable homes.
Through Marriage Rescue Manual, he presents marriage not merely as an institution sustained by commitment and prayer, but also as a skill that requires continuous learning, patience, communication and deliberate effort.
