New Busoga prince shares birthday with his father, the Kyabazinga
The Kingdom of Busoga has welcomed a new royal family member whose birth carries a special coincidence: he shares his birthday with his father, the Kyabazinga, His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV.
Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah, the third son of the Kyabazinga and the Inhebantu, Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi, was born on November 1, 2026.
A royal birth announcement issued on November 5 described the coincidence as a special moment for the royal family and the kingdom.
“In a special and remarkable coincidence, the young Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah shares his birthday with His Majesty the Kyabazinga, making this occasion even more memorable for the Royal Family and the Kingdom of Busoga,” the announcement stated.
The announcement said the royal couple received the birth with immense joy and gratitude to God.
It further confirmed that both the Inhebantu and the newborn prince were in excellent health.
The royal family also thanked the people of Busoga, family members, friends and well-wishers for their prayers, love and goodwill.
The announcement was signed by Prince Nadiope Arnold on behalf of the royal establishment.
