BEACH SOCCER: Sand Cranes Provisional Squad For COSAFA Tournament Named
The Coach believes that this tournament will be used as preparation for the final tournament of Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations – Mozambique.
Uganda National Beach Soccer Team Head Coach Salim Jamal Muwonge has named a provisional squad that will commence preparations for the forthcoming COSAFA Beach Soccer Tournament 2022 – Durban.
The coach on Wednesday revealed a squad comprised of 20 players, largely maintaining the core that took part in the qualification games against Comoros with two additions, Bernard Ndifuna of Kiringente BSC and Peter Mukwata from Mutoola BSC.
The Coach believes that this tournament will be used as preparation for the final tournament of Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations – Mozambique.
“Our target is to qualify for Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal. Using the confidence the players showcased during the previous qualifiers the team will use this tournament to collect the few mistake before the final tournament. We have enough time to prepare for the very best.” He said.
The team will enter residential camp at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Friday, 2nd September 2022.
The tournament will be held between 17th – 25th September in Durban, South Africa.
The 2022 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations will be held from 21st to 30th October in Maputo, Mozambique.
