NUP calls for aspirants in Kalangala Woman MP by-election

The party directed all interested candidates to physically submit written applications accompanied by copies of their party membership cards, National Identification Cards, curriculum vitae, and certified academic documents.

National Unity Platform has officially opened the expression of interest process for party members seeking to contest for the Kalangala District Woman Member of Parliament seat in the forthcoming by-election.

In a notice issued on May 11, 2026, the party’s Election Management Committee (EMC) invited qualified and interested members to apply for the opportunity to carry the party flag in the by-election.

According to the announcement signed by Harriet Chemutai, expressions of interest will be received on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the party headquarters in Makerere-Kavule along Bombo Road in Kampala.
