Hellen Nakimuli: Here is the released tentative burial programme

Parliamentary tributes are scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, when the late legislator’s body will lie in state at Parliament. This will be followed by honours at the headquarters of the National Unity Platform. A vigil will later be held at her family residence in Namungoona.

A detailed burial programme has been released for the late Kalangala District Woman Member of Parliament, Hellen Nakimuli, outlining a four-day schedule of official and family-led rites.

The programme indicates that funeral activities will begin on Monday, April 20, 2026, with the commencement of rites. The cortege will depart for Kalangala via Nakiwogo in Entebbe, with the ferry scheduled to leave at 2:00pm.

On Tuesday, April 21, Kalangala District will host local government honours, including a special district council session and a public viewing to allow constituents to pay their last respects.
