Victoria University Vice Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga has challenged Mr. Lutoti to produce minutes from the PSU Council, authorising him to write letters concerning the university.

Victoria University Vice Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga has challenged Dr. Stephen Lutoti, Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU),to produce minutes from the PSU Council, authorising him to write letters concerning the university.

In a public response to a message from an individual identifying themselves as a VU student, Muganga said there was no need for genuine students to hide behind pseudonyms, noting that the university encourages confidence and open communication.

He maintained that students understand the quality of facilities and training offered at Victoria University and should not be worried about what he described as Lutoti’s personal battles.

Muganga further invited the individual to contact him directly, assuring them that his door remained open to students.

The individual later apologised for any inappropriate remarks, explaining that the pseudonym was used for safety reasons and that the message was intended to express concern and offer ideas about the university.

The exchange attracted supportive reactions, with several people praising Muganga’s leadership and commitment to transforming education.
