A man in his 40s must choose his wife wisely
At 40 and beyond, you have lived enough life to understand that physical attraction is only one part of a lasting relationship.

A man in his 40s must be intentional about the woman he chooses to build his life with.
I tell you—there are few things more draining than finding yourself trapped in a bad marriage at an advanced stage of life.
You can recover from a bad job.
You can rebuild after a bad investment.
You can start again after a business failure.
But a troubled marriage can wear you down slowly, affecting your peace, confidence, finances, family and even your sense of purpose.
That is why I say: there is no regret in marrying well.
MARRY LATE, BUT MARRY WELL.
Marriage should not simply be about finding someone attractive or avoiding being alone. At 40 and beyond, you have lived enough life to understand that physical attraction is only one part of a lasting relationship.
You need a woman who is intelligent, emotionally mature, respectful, trustworthy and grounded in good character.
Because beauty without character can become a beautiful punishment.
The right partner, however, can make home your greatest source of strength, a place where you return to peace, companionship, laughter and rest.
So before you marry, ask yourself the difficult questions:
- Can I trust her when I am not around
- Does she respect me even when we disagree?
- Will she stand with me when life becomes difficult?
- Does she bring peace into my life, or constant conflict?
- Will we build our future together, or will I spend my life trying to repair what we keep breaking?
And perhaps the most important question: Do I admire her character as much as I admire her beauty?
At 40+, marriage should be less about rushing to fill a space and more about choosing someone with whom you can build a meaningful life.
Do not marry because you are getting older. Marry because you have found someone worth building with. Marry late, if necessary. But marry well.
