The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed that the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results will be released on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 am. This announcement comes after a closed-door meeting between UNEB officials and the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni, who is also the First Lady.
According to Jennifer Kalule, the UNEB spokesperson, the meeting brought together key education stakeholders to finalize plans for the official announcement of the results. Minister Museveni commended the board for completing its work on schedule, ensuring that the results will be released as planned.
UNEB officials have dismissed concerns that the recent temporary internet shutdown ahead of the January 15 general elections might delay the release of the results. The board assured that core processes such as marking, verification, and quality assurance were completed without interruption, and the results are ready for release.
