Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Okello has completed his move to Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat after signing a three-year contract reportedly worth $500,000.
The 24-year-old arrived in Rabat and completed the final formalities of the transfer, with the club expected to make an official announcement soon.
Okello will earn approximately $167,000 annually during his three-year stay at the Moroccan club, following his transfer from Tanzanian giants, Young Africans SC (Yanga).
AS FAR secured his services in a deal valued at $1.5 million, marking a major financial milestone in the Ugandan international’s career.
Before the move, Okello enjoyed a successful spell at Young Africans, where he earned $10,000 per month after joining the club in January 2026. Yanga paid a $300,000 transfer fee to sign him from Ugandan Champions Vipers SC and offered him a $100,000 signing-on fee, a fully furnished house, and a car.
During his time at Yanga, Okello impressed with his performances, scoring 14 league goals and attracting interest from clubs across the region.
The attacking midfielder had joined Vipers SC in 2023, receiving a $30,000 signing-on fee, a house, and a car as part of his agreement with the Ugandan club.
Okello’s latest move to AS FAR represents one of the biggest transfers involving a Ugandan footballer and further strengthens his reputation as one of the country’s most valuable talents on the international stage.
The Uganda Cranes star is expected to join AS FAR’s preparations ahead of the new season as the club looks to compete for domestic and continental honours.
