It was a five-goal thriller for each of Bul FC and Maroons FC as they saw off their opponents Black Power and Busoga United FC respectively in their StarTimes Uganda Premier League openers.
And after those two heavy wins, Bul FC in first position and Maroons in second now lead the table followed by KCCA FC in third after the Kasasiro Boys got a hard-earned 3-2 win against Wakiso Giant FC at MTN Omondi stadium.
URA FC held onto settle for a 0-0 draw against Onduparaka FC while travelling Express FC threw away a lead to give home-side UPDF a well-deserved point.
On Friday, champions Vipers SC failed to replicate last season’s form when a spirited Soltilo Bright Stars didn’t yield to coordinated attacks of the St Mary’s Stadium’s side.
