The Ministry of Health Tuesday afternoon announced that five health workers have recovered from Ebola and been discharged from the Entebbe Isolation unit.

“By the Grace of God, we have discharged five more patients that have been undergoing treatment for Ebola at Entebbe Isolation Unit,” Dr Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, said.

“These are our health workers that were referred from Mubende to Fort Portal and later on here. Let’s continue to be vigilant as we deal with this,” Dr Atwine said with bits of detail.

Meanwhile, the ministry on Monday commenced a three-day training on RCCE for Ebola and other Public Health emergencies.

Over 60 officers supporting Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) in Mubende and other high-risk districts are taking part in the training organized by Africa CDC & Ministry of Health.
