KAMPALA – For months, thousands of Ugandans have laughed, healed, and felt connected through the light-hearted skits of TikTok sensation Jayden, real name Timothy Kayanja. His humorous takes on everyday Ugandan life made him one of Kampala’s fastest-rising digital creators, loved for his authenticity and youthful charm.
But behind the humour that defined his online rise, Jayden is now confronting a devastating medical crisis.
The 23-year-old influencer recently revealed that he has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia, a severe condition where the bone marrow completely stops producing blood. Doctors have warned that without an urgent bone marrow transplant, his chances of survival dramatically narrow – giving him only a short window to act.
The total cost of the life-saving treatment, including tests, donor matching, surgery, and medication, is estimated between UGX 80 million and UGX 200 million, far beyond what his family can raise on their own.
Faced with the race of his life, Jayden has turned to the public for support.
In a heartfelt message shared online, he wrote: “It’s not easy to come out and ask for help, but this is my only chance.”
