MIDDLESBROUGH — Middlesbrough has completed the signing of goalkeeper Radek Vitek from Manchester United in a deal worth up to £14 million, including add-ons.
The Czech goalkeeper joins Middlesbrough as part of the club’s ambitious plans for the future, with Manchester United retaining a 35 per cent sell-on clause, matching rights, and a buy-back option as part of the agreement.
Vitek expressed his excitement after completing the move, praising Middlesbrough’s vision and long-term ambitions.
“The project here is very impressive because you can clearly see the ambition and where the club wants to go,” Vitek said.
The move marks a new chapter for the young goalkeeper, who developed through Manchester United’s system and gained valuable experience before securing a permanent switch.
