“I had to sing that old Christian hymn (I’m sure many of you had never heard of it) just to praise Our great God!,” he said in a brief tweet.

Adding: “I also sang it because Jesus Christ is once again my ONLY Commander-in-Chief. I will be retiring from the UPDF this year,”

Muhoozi, who has severally said he wants to be president of Uganda, recently, tweeted saying he will stand for the presidency in the 2026 general election. He later deleted the tweet.

On Sunday, he again tweeted threatening that his MK Movement shall surround Kampala and take the city.

“Our people keep asking when will we enter Kampala? Kampala is our prize! Like NRA did in the bush war; first, we shall surround Kampala then we shall take her. The MK Movement is led by serious revolutionaries.

Muhoozi, the eldest son of Museveni is still a serving army officer and by the law, the UPDF Act, not supposed to engage in partisan politics. But going by his acts, political pundits say he has broken every rule there is as a serving soldier.
