NUP’s lawyer, Anthony Wameli, dies

The National Unity Platform (NUP) is in a sombre mood after the passing away of their Head of Legal Anthony Wameli today, 8th February 2023.
The party leader, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, announced the Wameli’s death which occurred in the United States of America.

Wameli has been reviving treatment in the US after falling ill last year. It is not known, at the moment, what he has been suffering from.
“Very sad day! Just learnt of the untimely passing of our dear brother and Head of our Legal Team, comrade Wameli Anthony from the U.S. where he’s been admitted for treatment,” he said.
