PLU Baraza draws massive turnout in Kyegegwa as supporters rally behind Muhoozi Kainerugaba

A large crowd of supporters of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has attended the first PLU Baraza held at Humura Playground in Kyegegwa District, with organisers describing the turnout as a sign of growing support for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s message of patriotism and the fight against corruption.

The event, which followed the conclusion of President Yoweri Museveni’s election campaigns, brought together PLU supporters and local leaders who gathered to discuss the movement’s agenda and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.

Supporters praised the PLU Secretariat leadership, led by General Secretary Hon. Fadil Twalla Fadil and Deputy Director of Mobilisation Owek. Henry Basaliza, for organising the gathering and mobilising communities to participate.

“This massive turnout is a clear signal that people truly love and cherish the PLU Secretariat,” organisers said, adding that the numbers demonstrated public support for Gen. Kainerugaba’s efforts to promote patriotism and address corruption challenges in the country.

The Chief Host, Hon. Kyalimpa Jovent was also appreciated for his hospitality and leadership in hosting the event.

Speaking at the gathering, PLU representatives said the continued participation of supporters showed commitment to the movement, pledging to continue expanding their mobilisation efforts across the country.

The Kyegegwa Baraza marks one of the first major PLU activities after the presidential campaign period, with organisers saying the movement will continue engaging communities and building stronger grassroots structures.

“Tuko Pamoja,” supporters said, reaffirming their commitment to the PLU cause.
