Njeru Police Station in Buikwe district is holding four people who were arrested during a raid on a massage parlour that is alleged to be offering gay and lesbian sex services.

Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa region police spokesperson, identified the suspects as Patricia Nantume alias Malaika, who is the owner of the business, Hope Nawasasira, Douglas Kibirige, and Denis Kirumira.

The suspects, according to police, are employees of Cloud 9 Massage and Chill Out in Bukaya West Zone, Njeru municipality in Buikwe district.

Butoto said, “The quartet was arrested following a tip-off to the area defence secretary by a worker at the massage parlour-turned informant who was concerned by the alleged illegal activities at the facility,”

According to Butoto, the informant told authorities that her boss Nantume has an artificial phallus which she has allegedly been using on female workers and later posts recordings on Tiktok and other social media platforms.

“The informant told us that she was trafficked from Mbarara to Buikwe district three months ago after being promised Shs500, 000 to work in a massage, sauna, and salon but she was allegedly lured into lesbianism prostitution,” Butoto added.

Butoto said the informant claims she has not received her salary for the past three months despite allegedly “serving” over five clients.

Residents are demanding that police close down the facility on grounds that it is in a residential area.

Patricia Dorothy Chandiru, a Councilor at Njeru Municipality, says that although the parlour paid the license and all revenue, police should shut it because residents had first complained about the workers’ indecent dress.
