Abraham Luzzi declares Muhoozi more capable to lead Uganda as president than Bobi Wine, criticizes NUP leadership

Controversial and hilarious Abraham Luzzi, an independent candidate in the Kampala Central Member of Parliament race, stirred controversy by asserting that Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of President Yoweri Museveni, is better suited to lead Uganda than National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine.

Luzzi, a former member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) argued that Muhoozi’s international exposure, having met several presidents and prime ministers and visited numerous countries, gives him valuable leadership insight. He added that Muhoozi’s financial stability would reduce chances of greed or corruption if he were to become president.

“It’s not ideal for Museveni to hand over power directly to his son, but Muhoozi has more capability than Bobi Wine,” Luzzi said. “People should stop voting out of frustration. Museveni is not the problem it’s Parliament that makes the laws, Museveni only signs.”

In a swipe at NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, who he is competing against in the Kampala Central MP race, Luzzi questioned the significance of foreign education. “People say Rubongoya studied at Harvard. That doesn’t make him prominent. He was just a student waiting for posho, loitering on campus,” Luzzi claimed.

He emphasized that being educated abroad doesn’t automatically translate to effective leadership. “I have real businesses in those countries. That’s the difference,” he said.

Luzzi, who was speaking during an interview on “NUP Speaks” aired on Block FM 103.2, called on voters to make informed choices, warning against emotional voting based on anger or hardship. “Even if you don’t vote for me, you won’t become me, and I won’t become you,” he concluded.
