The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) has appointed Alan Mugume as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) replacing Martin Ondeko. Mugume has earned himself a contract of three years.
In a media interview, an excited Mugume applauded his predecessors for doing a good job running and promoting the game of sport.
“This is out of my comfort zone working with a sports entity but I am eager to use my skills and experience to take Uganda Cricket to the next level,” Mugume said.
On his part, Martin Ondeko said that during his time as CEO, UCA has registered good growth in several areas including the income that come in from International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
“We have seen our national teams make strides and I can say we are now at the top of the game. The new CEO has a task to ensure we stay there and I have faith in him,” Ondeko noted.
