Female teacher undressed by demons at primary school in Buyende
Residents of Namukunu Village told this publication that pupils have for some time been complaining to their parents about experiencing unusual incidents at the school.

Learning was recently disrupted at Namukunu Primary School in Bugaya Sub-county, Buyende District, after pupils and some members of staff reportedly fled the school following claims of unexplained spiritual disturbances.
Residents of Namukunu Village told this publication that pupils have for some time been complaining to their parents about experiencing unusual incidents at the school.
They allege that some learners have exhibited strange behaviour, including speaking in unfamiliar languages and collapsing during school hours.
“Some pupils have been telling their parents that they are being disturbed by unseen forces while at school, but many people initially dismissed the claims,” one resident said.
The situation reportedly escalated on Sunday, 26 July 2026, when community members alleged that a teacher, identified as Alice Nakisige, behaved unusually and was found moving around the school compound without clothes.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently verified, and the cause of her behaviour remains unclear.
Unverified claims circulating within the community have linked the alleged incidents to a nearby resident identified only as Kiryawo.
However, no evidence has been presented to support these allegations, and no authorities have publicly connected any individual to the reported events.
Local leaders and relevant authorities have reportedly been informed and are expected to investigate the matter and engage the community to restore calm and confidence at the school.
Incidents attributed to alleged spiritual disturbances have occasionally been reported in schools and communities across Uganda over the years.
Such cases often generate anxiety among residents, although investigations sometimes point to medical, psychological or social explanations rather than supernatural causes.
By press time, officials from Buyende District, the Ministry of Education and Sports, and the Uganda Police Force had not yet issued an official statement regarding the reported incident at Namukunu Primary School.
Before the latest incident, Daily Express recently reported that classes at Namukunyu Primary School were disrupted after parents stormed the school in protest over allegations that suspected ritual practices had instilled fear among pupils and residents.
The parents claimed that the alleged rituals had created panic within the school community, with some expressing fears that the situation was affecting learners and normal school operations.
