Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Jamal Musiala has reassured fans about his health after revealing that he has been diagnosed with brief, temporary episodes of absence caused by a neurological dysfunction

In a statement, the 23-year-old said he is doing well and thanked supporters for their messages and concern following recent incidents during matches against RB Leipzig and Heidenheim.

Musiala explained that the episodes are treatable and are currently part of his daily life. He said he is receiving the best possible medical care and remains optimistic about his recovery, with support from Bayern Munich, his family, and close associates.

“What is important is that there is no additional health risk beyond this,” Musiala said, adding that he made the decision, in consultation with neurological specialists, to continue playing football while managing the condition.

The German international said that continuing his normal routine and pursuing his passion for football have been important parts of his recovery journey.

“I have a very good feeling, and I am on a good path. What helps me most along the way is continuing to chase victories and titles with my team,” he said.

Musiala also asked for understanding as he prefers to keep further details about his condition within the circle of his closest confidants, the club, and medical experts.
