FUFA organises Uganda Premier League Media day ahead of the new season
The initiative is designed to cover all UPL clubs and address key areas affecting football operations, with discussions focusing on new regulations and concerns raised by clubs, coaches, and players.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has launched the Uganda Premier League (UPL) Media Day programme ahead of the 2026/27 season, bringing together participating clubs to prepare for the upcoming campaign.
The initiative is designed to cover all UPL clubs and address key areas affecting football operations, with discussions focusing on new regulations and concerns raised by clubs, coaches, and players.
The programme will focus on six major areas, including competition requirements, Laws of the Game, integrity of matches and competitions, safeguarding in football, marketing and commercial aspects, as well as media engagement.
FUFA said the sessions are aimed at improving professionalism, transparency, and compliance among clubs as they prepare for the new season.
The Media Day activities will conclude with a photoshoot and the recording of players’ height and weight measurements. The content collected will be used by FUFA, clubs, media organisations, and football fans for official profiles and promotional purposes.
Meanwhile, attention shifts to the FUFA Super Cup 2026, where Uganda Premier League champions will face Stanbic Uganda Cup winners .
The highly anticipated clash will take place this Saturday at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, with kick-off scheduled for 6:00 PM and live coverage available on FUFA TV.
The match will mark the beginning of competitive action ahead of the 2026/27 football season.
