Express FC vs Gaddafi FC Muteesa II Stadium – Wankulukuku 4:00PM
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League returns today with two important games for Express FC and URA FC, two big teams that have had a not-good start to the season.
Express FC, coming from a two-nil drabbing by rivals SC Villa host high-promising Gaddafi FC at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku at 4pm.
Newly promoted Gaddafi spent a lot of money bringing in new players, mostly from the opponent they face today – Express FC, but the losses in the two games they have so far played this season are not representative of their spending.
However, their coach, Wasswa Bossa, also formerly of Express FC, is upbeat that the results will come.
Will the results come against his former employer; that is something we will know after the 90 minutes at Wankulukuku.
James Odoch, the new Express FC coach, is unfazed by the fact that a large number of players played for his side last season.
“Most of the players were from express including the coach so it turns out to be a derby as well. We shall plan very well to see that we win tomorrow’s game,” Odoch told UPL.
In the other game of the day, at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja, 2pm, Busoga United, fresh from beating newcomers Blacks Power 2-0 will host URA FC in a game both teams need to win to bring their season back to like.
URA FC is yet to win a game this season having drawn with Bul FC (1-1) and Onduparaka (0-0) but lost to Express FC (1-0).
This is a start the Sam Timbe and forces would love to turn around and kick start a title challenge.
