Museveni & Wife Flag Off Team Uganda Ahead Of Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games will kick of on 28th July in Birmingham, the UK while the Athletics World Championships will happen in Eugene, Oregon, United States from July 15–24, 2022.
President Yoweri Museveni and his wife Janet Museveni, also the minister of education and sport, today at Kololo Airstrip flagged off Team Uganda scheduled to fly out of the country to participate in the Commonwealth Games and the Athletics World Championships.
“Meeting the Uganda team today brought me and the entire fraternity of the Ministry of Education and Sports another moment of happiness and new hope in flagging off our National Sports Teams, as they prepare to represent our homeland in various sports events on the world stage.” Janet Museveni said.
